PACHUKA was Graal’s first administrator and the author of the original Graal Classic southern map, now retroactively known as The Downwind.
These levels formed one of the earliest major regions of Graal, containing several iconic and historical locations associated with the vintage Rainbow Temple era.

The conflict ultimately ended PACHUKA’s tenure as one of Graal Online’s earliest major figures. After contacting legal counsel, he withdrew from the project and removed his work from the game.
PACHUKA’s 2002 Letter
Three years after his abrupt departure, PACHUKA resurfaced in 2002 with a sprawling public account of the dispute and the events surrounding his exit.
Contained within this letter are:
- exaggerated accounts reflecting his infamous dramatic tone
- echoes of various internal disputes
- commentary on major, world-altering events in Graalian history
- some of the only surviving records describing Graal’s earliest origins
- further insight into the legendary rivalry between Antago and PACHUKA — the “Gods of Graal”
Unlike those groups, however, pieces of the Graal pantheon survived their creator. Its mythology was gradually absorbed into the larger culture of Graal, resurfacing as a recurring superhero-like universe of gods, heroes, and villains throughout historical levels — including those created by several underage community members who were victimized by PACHUKA.
One of Graal’s Two “Forbidden Atlantises”
PACHUKA’s southern levels eventually became one of the two great lost worlds of Graal, alongside the equally mysterious Glowtica.
Glowtica was an enormous underwater region of Destiny that appeared on the Graal Classic map during the consolidation of its overworld between 2000 and 2001.
The “Goodbye Letter” provides PACHUKA’s account of how The Downwind disappeared. The erasure of Downwind was the consequence of an explosive and contentious legal dispute that simultaneously saw PACHUKA banned from the community and his content removed from the world.
Over time, Glowtica and The Downwind have become conceptually linked: two legendary regions from Graal’s formative years that existed within the world itself, yet remained inaccessible to all but a tiny number of people; both worlds are now survived directly via Destiny both in story and copyright (read on).
The Goodbye Letter: 20 Years Later
At the end of March 2025, Antago contacted PACHUKA by telephone to revisit the serious events that had shaken the Graal community decades earlier and left permanent scars and aftershocks throughout its history.
During the call, Antago questioned PACHUKA about several of the accusations contained within his Goodbye Letter.
Among them was PACHUKA’s claim that Unixmad had possessed illicit CSAM “on [Unixmad’s] server.” Nearly two decades later, PACHUKA acknowledged that the allegation had originated as a rumor he had heard and that, in the heat of his departure, he subsequently presented it as a firsthand account.
The conversation also uncovered further details surrounding the disappearance of Graal’s original southern map. PACHUKA maintained that Unixmad had attempted to take possession of his levels and additionally alleged that money had been taken directly from him.
The Evolution of the Southern Map
After PACHUKA’s departure, the southern region of Graal remained effectively a black hole for more than a year.
That changed on July 4, 2000, when the enormous void was finally replaced by Destiny — originally Graal’s “first player world”, authored by creator and developer Antago.
In an unusual historical full-circle, the creators of Graal’s first two southern worlds would reconnect more than two decades later.
On April 4, 2025, during a phone call addressing PACHUKA’s Goodbye Letter, troubles with the law, and the fate of his removed content, the author of Destiny obtained the legal rights to The Downwind.
For the first time in 26 years, someone other than PACHUKA had legal creative access to Graal’s lost southern world.
The two great southern eras of early Graal — The Downwind and Destiny — had finally crossed paths again.
